This is the first strip of the improved Snap Crackle Pop, an online comic I've been doing since last year, but which had to be completely revamped due to a change in cast and attitude. This comic is actually about me, Kit, and my life, which involves drawing a comic strip about my life. See what happens there?

For those who wish to view the comic strips that came before this, you can check out my myspace archives under the display name Kit Fox.

A comic strip about a person making a comic strip? How very meta.

I was pretty crap in the beginning, but I suppose that's what happens when you're still getting used to your characters.

Well that's a long story. Actually, it's not: I have no idea why I called it that. Not a clue. I just liked the sound of it, and it seemed to fit the whimsical attitude of the strip. Hope you like the rest!

so I discovered your comic one day while reading your sister's journal (though I knew of your gallery when I was on my OMG I LOVE GORILLAZ phase and saw some of your fanarts) it was 10 pm perhaps, I said to myself, hmmm let's read a few, and I began, of course the idea of a girl who creates a comic about a girl who draws a comic about her life was a really nice idea and easy understable "mise en abyme" though there is no much action in this first strip I was attracted to the amount of detail and therefore effort you put on these strips -my respect-
of course the fact that this is the NEW SCP makes me wonder what about the old one? maybe there is a bit of a lack when it comes to some characters introductions but it is not such a big thing.
I began at 10 pm and finished by 4 am next day or maybe a bit later (browsing back and forth the strips to laugh again or to understand better some jokes and the ineluctable google when it came to pop culture I wasn't aware of)

I really like this first strip but the ears

It's always so nice to hear how people got hold of the comic, and how they first read it! Thank you for telling me. There was an old version of SCP, when it was just a silly comic I was doing about a friend of mine and myself, and our conversations together, but then the friend and I fell out, and I decided that I could have a perfectly good comic strip without him.

Cute. I want to write a story about a girl who wants to write a story . . . but I already have one of those. Oh, I'll just write another one. Total genius. You are a total genius. :D
