This was a painting done for my lovely friend

who asked for a human and a fish, and had no other requirements. I do love to go wild!

The colors in this one really grabbed me, and I always have fun doing crazy jellyfish, because they look like someone has to be making them up out of their imagination, but that's how they really are. I had fun with this one.

Jellyfish. LOVE the jellyfish.

I'd usually be utterly terrified of 'em, but this one is nice and tame and all violet. And its inside reminds me of a crown and of the King Jellyfish from Spongebob Squarepants, who loves pie. I kinda think I'll be naming him something (oh, believe you me, it IS a 'him'). You just know the girl riding on him's going 'yay I'm on a huge jellyfish with the breeze combing through my hair!'.
