This is a commission I did for my lovely friend Jules and her seven year old boy, Cody. She's giving it to him as a Christmas present.
When she asked me to do a painting for her, she just told me to do anything in this style I thought would suit a boy his age. I asked for a list of his favorite things, among which were pirates, elephants, hamsters and the solar system. Luckily, they all go together.
The two pirates are taken from these toys I have, wee pirate action figures that are super-happy looking. The Boyfriend and I have named them Captain Periwinkle and his first mate, Pansy. They are not the manliest pirates ever, but they're great for the painting.
i showed this piece to some of the people in my class & we all agree. fantastic job Who dosen't love all them things ^_^ You could So do children's book illustration

As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
